Upcoming Events
Next Meeting: Sunday – Oct.22nd 11am Open World Yosemite Room C
Speaker #1: Tom Anthony, Oracle - Director Procurement Strategy
Speaker #2: John Sedej, Genpact - SVP Supply Chain
My name is Steve Jolly, and I will be serving as the Procurement SIG Coordinator for 2006-7. I look forward to working with our members, so please contact me if you feel our SIG can be helpful to you. Our SIG Board has been active over the past month to create a list of ideas on how to make this year a great year for our members. We need your feedback to determine how we will move forward. This year’s board members include Cox-Sherryl Love, Hyperion-Mohan Dutt, Friedkin Business Services-Carlos Sepeda & Narcy Wimberley.
- New Oracle Executive Sponsorship: Tom Anthony, Director-Procurement Product Strategy has agreed to be the SIG’s active executive sponsor. Oracle is looking forward to renewing their relationship with our SIG members.
- Procurement Conference: Tom Anthony has agreed to host our members at a special 2-3 day forum where Oracle’s product strategy, IBU, development, and services teams come prepared to: answer our questions, share designs, review product strategy, listen to our users on TARs or Product Enhancement requests, and present case studies. It is ours to design.
- Your Vote Needed:
- Do you want to attend a 2-3 day Procurement SIG conference separate from OAUG and Open World?
- What content should be in the event? What dates will work for you? Open World is October and OAUG is spring.
- Do you want it to match the March conference of Peoplesoft Procurement Conference in Orlando? Would you prefer Redwood Shores?
- What can this SIG do for you? What educational areas are worth your time to attend?
- Your Contacts Needed: Our SIG membership list is no longer current. Please send this message to those companies you know are running Oracle and request they send me a message to be able to participate in future events. Also, please send to your co-workers. We need both the Procurement and Oracle Application teams.
